Cortlandt Manor Resident Named President Of Support Connection Board

Support Connection a not-for-profit organization that provides free support services to people affected by breast and ovarian cancer, recently announced that Michael W. Murphy of Cortlandt Manor, has been named president of the their board of directors. Murphy has been a member of the Support Connection Board of Directors since 2004.

Yorktown Hosts Annual Historic House Tour

The sixth annual Historic House Tour of Yorktown will take place on Sunday, May 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors will get a chance to see the Hallock's Mill Farmhouse, a Tompkins family farmhouse which started out in the 1700's as a tenant farm of Van Cortlandt Manor, learn about the Henry Street Settlement's Echo Hill Camp for girls that was located in Yorktown from 1900 to the 1950's, and visit an Alpaca Farm. "It really is amazing that Yorktown has houses that date back to pre-Revolutionary War time.
