Cortlandt Teen Receives $10,000 For Cancer Research Project

Clifford Soloway of Cortlandt Manor is one of only 20 students across the nation named to the Davidson Fellows Scholarship program for his research into the affect of lysine succinylation on cancer cells, officials announced. Soloway, a graduate of Walter Panas High School, was awarded a $10,000 scholarship for his work.

Darrin Dyckoff, a 28-year-old Somers resident and Yorktown High School graduate, was found by divers Tuesday afternoon, according to News 12. Dyckoff was on a small floating device in the lake when he shouted for help before plunging under the water in the lake. Rescue operations continued for hours following his cry for help, which occurred around 2 p.m. According to his Linkedin page, Dyckoff worked at the Dunkin Donuts in Shop Rite in Cortlandt Manor.
