A stretch of Furnace Dock Road was closed temporarily on Thursday, when downed power lines led to a fast-moving brush fire in Cortlandt Manor. Shortly before 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, members of the Mohegan Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to Furnace Dock Road, where downed primary wires were on the street and a small brush fire had broken out.
