Akintunde Akinleye, a Cortlandt Manor man, and Alberto Aviles, a Putnam Valley man, have been arrested and charged after a traffic stop in which police learned there was a quantity of cocaine, marijuana, digital scale and counterfeit $100 bills in their vehicle, and both were subject of active arrest warrants on Sunday, March 15, according to Putnam County's Sheriff's Department. Police said on Sunday, March 15, at approximately 2:30 a.m., deputies assigned to the Narcotic Enforcement Unit observed a motorist commit several traffic violations on Route 6. Police said during an ensuing traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle was uncooperative and refused to comply with the deputies' instructions.
