Iona Prep's Matt Ryan Named New York's Mr. Basketball

Iona Prep senior Matt Ryan, a resident of Cortlandt Manor, was selected last week as Mr. New York Basketball by the Basketball Coaches Association of New York. Ryan averaged 19 points and eight rebounds per game for the Gaels, who finished the season 22-6.
